A quick biology 101 lesson and answer to your thoughtful question: Efferent refers to specific neurons (aka “motor neurons”) in our body that are responsible for carrying signals from a central point in the nervous system (our brain and spinal cord) to the muscles and organs throughout the body to protect and/or initiate an action.
If you’ve ever touched a hot stove, you can thank those efferent neurons for immediately pulling your hand back. Now, we’ll never boast about our hot stove cooking skills on this website, but we endeavor to safeguard you from touching the “hot stove” related to group benefits insurance.
It is in this spirit that Efferent Solutions was founded. Aspiring to serve as a trusted broker conduit between our employer clients (aka the brain and spinal cord) and our clients’ most valuable assets, their employees (aka the muscles and organs which keep our body healthy and functioning), by offering:
education
first-rate service and attention
strategic planning
compliance support
